The following terms govern SolvEGYPT’s web platform and its use. This platform is the property of Untap LLC; an Egyptian Limited Liability company. Your use of the Platform constitutes a legally binding contract with Untap LLC referred to here also as “SolvEGYPT” or “us” based on the outlined terms of use.
In case you register as a Participant, you will be bound to these terms in addition to any Rules that may be specified in Challenges you participate in. We may update those at any given time. Participants will be notified per email to review changes.
If you do not accept the stated terms, please do not use the platform. If at any time you need to cancel your account on SolvEGYPT, please send us an email on [email protected].

SolvEGYPT is a platform for organizations and individuals in Egypt to collaborate, generate insights, and come up with solutions for challenges of either social or commercial nature.
Each challenge posted on SolvEGYPT is sponsored by an organization. The organization is committed to managing the challenge along with Untap LLC. Managing a challenge includes publishing a challenge brief, posting challenge updates, engaging with challenge participants, moderating discussions, providing feedback and support, evaluating participants’ contributions, and – depending on the challenge plan and rules – making sure that selected contributions are made use of. The organization always has the right to deduce insights regarding the challenge and its participants.
Organizations may be businesses, non-profit organizations, or governments. Organizations posting commercial challenges or organizations with 50 or more employees are charged a fee for posting a challenge on SolvEGYPT. Fees cover the operating costs of the platform and ensure continuous development and support.
Organizations with whom we work shall always act in good faith during the entire challenge cycle.
A commercial challenge is strictly related to the organization posting it. Contributions made to a commercial challenge are primarily used for market research. Challenges requiring highly technical solutions are outside the scope of this platform.
Challenges may be either publicly posted on SolvEGYPT for anyone to participate in or privately requiring a direct invitation to selected participants.
There are different challenge types each with different requirements and stages. SolvEGYPT regulates the various Challenge stages.
The Challenge cycle and roadmap will always be available along with Challenge rules – whenever applicable – for Participants to revise before taking the decision to participate with a Contribution.
This platform is not available for use by individuals or entities who cannot form legally binding contracts as per suitable law.
To be able to collaborate on Challenges, you need to sign up as a Participant and agree to any outlined Challenge Rules that may be attached to individual Challenges.
Your sign up process requires entering your real name, email address, and password. You are not authorized to use the login information of any other participant but yourself.
SolvEGYPT is a platform for collaborative problem-solving and insights generation. Except for the platform’s trademark, associated domain, brand elements, Participant’s personal details, and content posted on private Challenges, anything published on SolvEGYPT is governed by the Creative Commons License Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). According to the license, you are free to:
Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.
The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as you follow the license terms.
Under the following terms:
Attribution — You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
It is thus not advised to post contributions on SolvEGYPT that disclose technical details that you may later on use for issuing a patent, for example. Do not participate in challenges with contributions that you are working on for further development and that are potentially patentable.
You agree that you will not release any information to SolvEGYPT that you agreed in a separate existing legal obligation to keep confidential.
As a registered participant, you are solely responsible for the content you publish including but not limited to profile details, insights, ideas, feedback, and proposals submitted for Challenges you take part in. SolvEGYPT is only a mediator enabling the dissemination and publication of information. We retain the rights to take any necessary action in case we believe to have found inappropriate information listed.
You agree that your content including but not limited to your profile and contributions will be accurate and will not violate any law nor infringe on the rights of any third parties including not limited to patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and rights of privacy/publicity.
SolvEGYPT may use your personal information along with any contributions in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
We shall not divulge your personal information to third parties except when required by law or in the course of investigations or legal actions for fraud, misrepresentation or any unlawful behavior. We shall, however, use and share aggregated information in an effort to customize choices and offer new services to meet with our community’s expectations as well as for research purposes.
SolvEGYPT will always strive to have updated and accurate information listed on the platform. However, we do not control the information put by others that may include inaccurate details. SolvEGYPT bears no responsibility in regards to the acts of Organizations and Participants along with their published content. We do not warrant nor guarantee the accuracy of any Challenge details nor the quality of any submitted contribution.You agree to release SolvEGYPT from all claims of any sort that arise because of inaccurate information posted by Organizations and/or Participants.
You grant to SolvEGYPT, to the Organizations sponsoring Challenges, and to other Participants an unrestricted, perpetual, irrevocable, sub-licensable, non-exclusive fully-paid up and royalty-free worldwide license to use any materials, ideas, research, feedback, insights, or other content you submit without restrictions of any kind and without any payment or other consideration of any kind, or permission or notification, to you or any third party.
This shall include, without limitation, the irrevocable right to reproduce, prepare derivative works (e.g. a case study documenting a Challenge), combine with other works, change, translate, distribute copies, display, perform, license the Contribution or parts thereof, and all rights therein, in the name of SolvEGYPT, or the Challenge Sponsors, throughout the world in perpetuity in any and all media now or hereafter known.
You represent and warrant that you are the owner of all Contributions and have the legal right and authority to grant SolvEGYPT and the Challenge Sponsor(s) the license and rights set forth herein. All necessary licenses, permissions, releases and consents required (including without limitation, privacy releases and/or publicity releases necessary for Contributions depicting people, products, businesses, or other content) have been obtained for you to grant the licenses contained herein.
It is the Participant’s sole responsibility to list and/or include all references and citations when it comes to quoting the work of 3rd parties.
SolvEGYPT retains the right to assess, change, or delete any Contribution that SolvEGYPT, and/or a Challenge Sponsor considers offensive or otherwise inappropriate.
We reserve the right to review your Contributions in order to ensure compliance with these Terms and our Privacy Policy. SolvEGYPT retains the right to deny or revoke access to this Platform for any Participant at any time, with or without cause. Your access to this Platform will get terminated upon violation of the terms outlined on this page.
Any Participant can flag content, Contributions, or profiles that the Participant regards as offensive or destructive and allows SolvEGYPT to select the suitable course of action. SolvEGYPT has the right to remove material it considers offensive, and/or suspend a Participant’s registration.
The present Terms shall be subject to the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the interpretation or the execution of these Terms shall be finally resolved by Egyptian Courts.
The SolvEGYPT trademark and associated domain, and brand elements are owned by Untap LLC.
